We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Video Scriptwriter / Screenwriter
Job Location: Kuola, Ibadan, Oyo
Job type: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Work Mode: Primarily onsite (offsite/remote where applicable)
About the Role
- We are seeking a talented Scriptwriter/Screenwriter to research topics, develop compelling scripts, and turn information into engaging stories for various formats and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Research topics thoroughly and gather reliable source materials
- Write engaging scripts, screenplays, narrations, and other video content
- Review videos, audio recordings, documents, and other source materials
- Develop compelling stories with strong structure and pacing
- Rewrite and refine scripts based on feedback
- Ensure scripts are accurate, clear, original, and grammatically correct
- Support content development for company-owned and client projects
- Organize research materials, references, and project files
Requirements
- Degree, HND, OND, or relevant qualification in English, Mass Communication, Journalism, Creative Writing, Film/TV, Theatre Arts, or related field (exceptional writers may be considered regardless of background)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong research and fact-checking skills
- Ability to turn raw information into compelling narratives
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs/Sheets)
- Basic familiarity with photo/video/audio editing tools is an advantage
- Best suited for candidates living close to Kuola area, Ibadan
Salary and Benefits
- N100,000 monthly (with future reviews based on performance)Training and skill development
